Flagship Projects & Initiatives

From founding pan-African movements to leading national transformations—these are the engines of my impact.

ENSAA (Egyptian Nursing Students & Alumni Association)

Reshaping Egypt's Premier Nursing NGO for a Sustainable Future

The Challenge: ENSAA had grown from a student‑led initiative (which I founded) into a nationally recognized NGO, but needed strategic transformation to meet modern healthcare demands and ensure long‑term sustainability.

The Action: As Founder and now Head of the Transformation Council, I am leading the development and execution of the ENSAA 2030 Strategic Plan. This involves refining governance structures, expanding services, strengthening local/international partnerships, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Key Outcomes (in progress):

  • Established a clear roadmap for organizational efficiency and impact.

  • Aligned ENSAA's mission with global nursing standards.

  • Empowered a new generation of Egyptian nursing leaders through structured programs.

I'm proud to be a nurse. If every nurse in Egypt — and across the world — feels that same pride, that is the key. That is the first action we must take to transform our profession."

African Novice Nurses and Students Initiative (ANNSI)

Uniting & Empowering Africa's Next Generation of Nursing Leaders

The Challenge: Novice nurses across Africa lacked a unified platform to share knowledge, access mentorship, and advocate for their role in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and the SDGs.

The Action: Founded ANNSI and served as its first President. Traveled to over 10 African countries (Sudan, Rwanda, Nigeria, Benin, Kenya, Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Africa) to build partnerships, lead workshops, and establish national chapters.

Key Outcomes: Built a pan-African network of novice nurses and students.Delivered workshops on UHC, SDGs, and nursing leadership in multiple countries.Forged connections with the African Union to align with Agenda 2063.Created a sustainable model for cross-border mentorship and collaboration.

I had a dream. Today, the dream is achieved. If you have a dream, make a team and never give up — even if the team leaves you alone. If you still have a dream, make a new team and never give up.

Proposal for a Nursing Museum in Egypt

Preserving Our Past to Inspire the Future
  • The Challenge: Egypt has a rich nursing history, but there is no dedicated physical space to celebrate it, educate the public, or inspire future nurses.

  • The Action: Inspired by my visit to the Florence Nightingale Museum, I am actively preparing a comprehensive proposal to establish the first Nursing Museum in Egypt. This initiative aims to collect artifacts, documents, and stories from Egyptian nursing pioneers and create an interactive educational space.

  • Key Outcomes (proposed):

  • Preserve and celebrate Egypt's nursing heritage.

  • Serve as a training and inspirational hub for nursing students.

  • Attract local and international visitors, elevating the profession's visibility.

  • Current Status: Virtual stage. Seeking partners, sponsors, and historical contributions.

Smart Nursing Advocacy (via KASN)

Preparing Nurses for a Tech-Enabled Future

The Challenge: The nursing profession is rapidly evolving with smart technologies, but many nurses lack the training and strategic direction to integrate these tools effectively.

The Action: As Vice President of KASN, I have championed the integration of smart technologies into nursing practice globally. This includes delivering keynote speeches, co-strategizing with international leaders (Prof. Lee Jia in South Korea), and developing educational content.

Key Outcomes:

  • Keynote at KASN's inaugural virtual conference (April 2024) on "The Needs for a Smart Future in Nursing and Health."

  • Strategic roadmap developed with KASN President for global smart nursing adoption.

  • Ongoing advocacy for digital literacy in nursing curricula.

My work with KASN represents a commitment to empowering nurses worldwide for our smart future — ensuring no one is left behind, and that nurses not only use technology but lead it.
